I don’t care what your political persuasion is,— what your views are.
These numbers from this Fox News exit poll, (so not much of a chance for anyone to say the numbers are a liberal lie), from South Carolina yesterday are just stunning.
This is the republican party in what is described as the most conservative state in the union. Small wonder that Newt has been working the “food stamp president” and “lack of work ethic” angles so hard. He knew what would work with the conservative voters in that state. Hammer the minorities,… it’ll get you some votes.
This is from Andrew Sullivan’s blog,….. which has a lot of very good commentary about yesterday’s repub primary.
8.11 pm. In a state where African-Americans make up 28 percent of the electorate and 1 percent of the voters in the primary today. That’s him above. But what an indictment of a party that in a diverse state, 99 percent of the voters were white. Look at this:
If I were a Republican, I’d be ashamed. But Gingrich won, I think, because shame is alien to him. Especially when it comes to race
I have to make a correction. In a post a little over a week ago, titled “Romney”, I said that Andrew Sullivan was a republican. That was incorrect. He describes himself as a conservative-minded independent.
