Apparently, if Mitt Romney can’t buy a company, suck the money out of it whle systematically dismantling it, and then sell it essentially for scrap,…. then it’s not worth touching.
Seemingly a single-minded outlook on “economic progress”.
You really, really shouldn’t want this guy in charge.
He makes judgements like this ——– which quite simply would have been disaster.

IF General Motors, Ford and Chrysler get the bailout that their chief executives asked for yesterday, you can kiss the American automotive industry goodbye. It won’t go overnight, but its demise will be virtually guaranteed.
Without that bailout, Detroit will need to drastically restructure itself. With it, the automakers will stay the course — the suicidal course of declining market shares, insurmountable labor and retiree burdens, technology atrophy, product inferiority and never-ending job losses. Detroit needs a turnaround, not a check.
And helping the industry,… which old Mitt said would destroy it,…. has resulted in this. ——
So,…. destroying companies is fairly easy if you have the money and can do the requisite cutthroat “business” deals and still be able to sleep at night.
Actually savings companies and jobs, however, takes some effort.
