Renewable Energy in Germany

Let’s see,…. they produce 20% of their energy with renewables.

Good standard of living. Very good average wages. Strong economy. Very good engineering. Ultra-strong social safety net. (no,… not “socialist” safety net)  Extremely well trained workforce.

Not the sunniest spot on the planet. Yet, 20% of their energy is from renewables. With a goal of making that 80%.

Yeah, …. I don’t understand why anyone would want to take those European guys as some sort of example.

They’re just not exceptional.

Joking aside, there’s some interesting concepts in this. I really like the underground storage deal at the wind farm. Unobtrusive for all the NIMbYs out there, and what would seem to be a relatively low cost potential.
